Favourite Vancouver Restaurants

MAXINE’S CAFE & BAR
This beautiful spot is part of the Homer Street Cafe family and you can tell as soon as you set foot in the door. I dream of their Kale salad. The first few times I came here I stuck with the Benny, which is terrific, but after I started branching out to try new things, I had difficulty sticking with one dish. I have never been here for dinner as the menu didn’t do anything for me, but the breakfast/lunch menu is my jam. Stick around until 3 for happy hour Prosecco.
THE SYLVIA HOTEL
Breakfast is the way here; patio + breakfast + sangria is a perfect summer combination. The servers are all wonderful, and you cannot beat the views of English Bay. The dinner menu here is not my favourite, so I would recommend this for brunch and breakfast only. Why not try a gin martini while you’re there, since they’re known for it an all!
ROBBA DA MATTI
I am biased because this place is right by my house. I also have a severe addiction to their carbonara. The date night special is $140, and you get two appetizers, two entrees, a bottle of wine and two desserts. I genuinely think it might be the best deal in the city. Their patio is also adorable and heated when it starts to cool down. Another great menu item is the pesto burrata linguini; anything with seafood is fantastic, including their risotto. This might be my favourite restaurant in Vancouver due to the sheer number of great meals I’ve had here.
TUTTO
The squid ink pasta is incredible, as well as any steak they have on the menu. We had the Wayu, and, of course, it was fantastic. They also have the freshest oysters, usually our go-to if we’re in the mood. The vibe is a little cold compared to Robba, but the food is impeccable, and if you sit in the smaller top room instead of the open dining room, it’s definitely cozier.
