Heavenly Banana Bread Recipe
  • 1 1/4 cups chocolate chips
  •  2 cups all-purpose flour
  •  1 cup brown sugar
  •  3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  •  1/2 teaspoon salt
  •  3 large overripe bananas, mashed
  •  1/4 cup 4 tablespoons plain whole fat yogurt
  •  2 large eggs beaten lightly
  •  6 tablespoons (approx 1/4 cups) unsalted butter melted
  •  1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line loaf pans with parchment paper .
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, chocolate chips, cinnamon, brown sugar, baking soda and salt. In a medium bowl, stir the mashed bananas, yogurt, eggs, butter and vanilla with a spoon.
  3. Stir until just combined, make sure not to over stir.
  4. Pour batter into loaf pans, scraping the sides down where needed.
  5. Bake for 15-20 mins until golden brown and inside is set.
  6. Remove from oven and place on cooling racks before wrapping with paper to store.

In addition to the ingredients above you can play with it a bit and switch up the flavours. Sometimes if I’m running low on chocolate chips or want some crunch in there I will add pumpkin seeds to the mix (you can do walnuts too but I think they’re gross)
